So as we already know there will be a 5G version of the Galaxy Note 10 as well. The specs of this handset will be identical to the Galaxy Note 10 Plus except there will be a 5G modem. Now, the official promo material of this handset has been leaked courtesy of ever-reliable, Evan Blass which shows that if you pre-order the 5G version of the Galaxy Note 10+ then you'll get a free Galaxy Note 10 with it. Verizon will be the only carrier that will sell this handset in the US which isn't surprising because they got the exclusive rights for the 5G Galaxy S10 as well.
Anyway, this is a crazy deal if you live in the US. I mean this is basically a BOGO deal, buy one get one free but the thing is there's a catch here. You need to buy their unlimited plan if you want to avail the offer, which is still a great pre-order deal if you ask me. The 5G Note 10 will be very expensive and could cost around $1400 so getting a free $1000 phone with it is crazy. The only downside is it's exclusive to Verizon so if you are on a different carrier then no cookies for you. I failed to mention this yesterday that the Galaxy Note 10 will have a 15W of reverse wireless charging aka the wireless power share. That's a significant increase from the Galaxy S10's 4.5W and it matches the power output of the charging head that we get with the current Samsung flagships. This means the Galaxy Note 10 can charge up other devices at an exponentially faster rate and will be actually convenient to use. Also, the Wireless power share can help you get a date. Yeah, according to a study made on 6500 people by Samsung Germany if you are willing to share your smartphone's battery with a girl then there are 7% chances that she could end up dating you. So we finally got the official release date of the Galaxy Fold. Samsung fixed all the issues with the handset that was causing it to malfunction. The top protective layer of the Display has been extended beyond the bezel, so now it's not possible to remove it easily. They added protection caps to the top and bottom of the hinge area so that the dirt couldn't get in.
Also they added an additional metal layer underneath the display to reinforce the protection of the display and finally the space between the hinge and body of the phone has been reduced.
Now, Samsung has confirmed that they'll release it in September. We still don't have the exact date but I'm sure we'll get it at the Unpacked event which will happen on August 7th. The good thing is, even with all these improvements Samsung hasn't actually increased the price of the handset. It'll still cost $1980. It'll be interesting to see whether or not people's interest to buy this phone has reduced because of the issues. In any case, if you're planning to get it, I would advise you to wait for a little, watch some review videos and if there isn't any case of this device failing again then go ahead and buy it. Of course that being said, considering everything that has happened with the Fold, would you still be interested in buying this phone let me know in the comments and I'll see you tomorrow...Peace out! .
